Greetings to you from central Auckland, Aotearoa,
It's been six long months since I wrote my last blog as I've been busy focusing on writing my book:
The Voice of Leadership:
Six Keys to Presence, Influence, and Creative Confidence
Finally, I'm in the last stages of editing, proofreading, and design before printing. Here's a short preview for you:
Learning how to empower your authentic voice of leadership impacts your own self-image and your potential power to affect others positively and influence change. Whatever your situation, if you actively practice and consistently apply the ideas in this book, you will dramatically enhance your executive presence. Wherever you need to express yourself more powerfully and intentionally, a strong voice of leadership will support you. It is your vehicle for positive impact and influence.
With sustained focus on the principles in this book, you will:
- elevate your personal brand increase your ability to own the room and to act with intent and purpose.
- build your resilience and composure in challenging situations
- improve your ability to engage others with an authentic ‘voice of authority’
- build trust in your own ideas, creativity, and self-expression
- be better able to engage and inspire others to align with your vision or projects
- be better able to collaborate and resolve any interpersonal conflicts.
Stand Out from the Crowd
In an increasingly interconnected and overstimulated world, your voice of leadership will differentiate you and help you to stand out from the crowd. You may currently be expressing yourself in ways that do not support your ability to engage, influence, and creatively collaborate with others due to fear, painful past experiences, or lack of awareness. Finding and expressing your voice of leadership is key to achieving success both personally and professionally.
This book is your toolkit of critical insights, powerful exercises, and new skills. It is designed to reveal your outmoded habits which no longer support you, as well as to assist you in establishing new, positive, empowering habits which you can begin to implement right away.
Each of the voice of leadership keys is accompanied by practical exercises to develop your executive presence, influence, and creative confidence. We will focus on developing your voice and vision, vitality, values, visibility, and veneration. (influential, respectful communication). When you are operating skillfully in each of these six areas, you will be well-prepared to have maximum impact and to make your greatest contribution in both your personal and professional life.
Chapter One: Voice
When you hear your own voice now, what self-image does it affirm for you? This chapter will increase your awareness of what may be blocking your powerful voice and presence. It will also uplift your vocal confidence and speaking skills.
Chapter Two: Vision
How do you envision your personal brand and creative potential? This chapter will help you to shine the light on how you are currently perceived and how you would ideally like to be perceived by yourself and others. You’ll craft your voice of leadership vision and purpose statement.
Chapter Three: Values
